Skool-Falak
Our Falak blog will be more of a point wise description of the project, so that everyone can get a brief insight of our project! Along with the description we have some photos also to serve the same purpose.
A creative display of information from several fields, of size (8 X 10) Ft., for School Students carrying huge significance with their daily lives
“Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow.”
This is one of the messages which we are trying to spread amongst the school children, which are the next generation of our society.
More than 80 schools in Pune have our Skool-Falak launched in their campus.
Objectives
- To
enhance knowledge and a research oriented attitude among school students
- To create
a knowledge bank with the research material made by them in long run
- To
create common social platform for school students across the city for
research oriented activities
- To
create interest among them about the social activities & causes which
are active around them and get them involved in the same
Purpose
The
entire process for this project has actually got 2 main parts, one involving
the schools and one is the basic process of building up the Falak.
The
process starts with generating content and design for Skool-Falak in Deepastambha Charitable Trust. It
is followed by the verification by child psychologists and proof reading process
for both English and Marathi versions. A presentation is given to the Principal
and the Education Society. After this there are few rounds of discussion along
with permission letter, content approval etc.
This is followed by the space scouting and infrastructural enhancements
in the schools by Deepastambha Charitable Trust. With the initial promotion activities, Falak is launched
in the school. Getting timely feedback and review from school is also equally
important for us. This project has various dimensions to it, which will require
students’ participation in different social activities also.
Skool-Falak
will be changed on quarterly basis after content approval from school.
Groundwork
Groundwork
in respect of Skool-Falak entails tasks on the content as well as school’s
front.And work indulged in both these areas can be mentioned to be challenging
in Primitive phases. However it’s worth mentioning, that increasing count of
schools responding positively, not only increased our energy to work towards it
but also had a massive impact on further schools we approached with this knowledge
driven Project. It was a propitious experience to embark the phases like
content, design, logistics and finally the Skool-Falak Launch in all these 22
schools in Pune!
It
is an immense pleasure and honor citing the name “Sci-Edge” as a whole and sole
Sponsor of Skool-Falak for the year 2013-14. Apart from the sponsorship, the
strength portrayed by them standing behind us, have led us to overcome
intricate phases in this whole process.
Future
Apart
from obtaining more number of Schools in the loop of having Skool-Falak,
We
look forward to student’s participation in some social activities which will
make them more socially aware. Apart from this, Deepastambha in association
with the schools can arrange different activities/competitions which can
enhance student social knowledge & inquisitiveness.
Scope
of information – Specific to certain school standard / age group?
Information that is generically interesting
and thought provoking for all the standards of higher secondary school level
will always be included. Hence yes, it is projected towards particular Age
Group but not at particular school standard.
Why Quarterly?
Frequency of changing Skool-Falak has been
arrived at in light of resources availability for it, not only in respect of
Finance, but also the human resource involved in it. The main objective being,
that all the students should get acquainted with the Falak.
Scope
of sponsors –
As Project entails its key audience to be
Students, conscience and integrity will always be maintained while pitching and
accepting sponsorships. We believe in adhering to the negative list of sponsors
in this.
